The labor and delivery

{October 29th-30th}

Thursday I had my 38 week appointment with Dr. Chalmers. We went in and I was still dilated to a two and 90% thinned so Chalmers stripped my membranes to try and speed up the process. Later that day I went out to lunch with my sister in-law and ran some errands and everything felt fine. I got home at about three and was in a lot of pain where Chalmers had stripped my membranes. I could barely walk and getting out of bed on my own was impossible. I just cried. Dallas called the hospital and told them what was going on and they told us to come right in. After they checked me they couldn't figure out why I was in so much pain. They called Chalmers and he said it might be a strained ligiment so he sent me home with loratabs and said if I'm still in this much pain tomorrow morning to make an appointment with him. We went home and I didn't feel much better. I had a really tough night and the next morning I was still in pain so we called and made an appointment. Chalmers checked me once again and couldn't find anything. I wasn't making any progress and Chalmers was clueless. He left the room for a few minutes. As he walked back into the room he says "Are you ready to have this baby? The hospital will be ready for you in an hour." We were completely shocked and SO excited. We got to the hospital and everything went so smooth. It was the dream labor. They started me at about 11:30am and he was here at 8:35pm!

I promise I will update about the labor and delivery and put some more pictures up. I have been really sick this week and being a new mom I haven't found time to do a whole lot of updating. Drake is a beautiful healthy boy and looks just like his dad! We love him so much and how blessed we are to have him in our lives. Life wouldn't be the same without him!

Any day now!

We went to the doctor today and got some good news. I am now dilated to a 2 and 90% thinned. Everything looks good and we have high hopes for him to come early! Now we just sit and wait for this little guy to come! Start crossing those fingers!!

36 weeks

-Walking normal is not an option anymore.
-I love that my doctor appointments are every week...I really look forward to them!
-I am now dialated to a one and 75% thinned, so we know he's coming soon!
-I crave more junk food and can't stop once I've started.
-Who needs sleep when your 8 months pregnant?
-Drake is so active I'm beginning to get a little nervous.
-I've started to nest. Every inch of our house has now been deep cleaned!
-I take walks every day just praying that will get him here faster
-Due to the epidemic of the swine flue the hospital does not allow more then two visitors during labor and delivery and that includes Dallas. They now have pink wrist bands that are given to two people and those are the only people that can enter the room. (other then the nurse and doctors ha)
-I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks.
-I'm really going to miss my Doctor.
-We really can't wait to get this little guy here!!

At 34 weeks

Here are a few of my maternity pictures! We had so much fun taking these pictures! Cassidy does such an amazing job! We are SO happy at how they turned out. Thank you so much Cass!

30 Week belly pic

Here I am at 30 weeks! It's not the most beautiful picture but everyone wants to see the pregnant belly!

Our day trip to the lake

Today we took a quick boat trip to the lake. It was a beautiful day and the water was perfect. We packed a small lunch and hung out on the beach. It was so much fun to just get out and enjoy the last bit of summer we have.

The month of August!

August flew by and I realized I didn't post anything we did this month. We had a very busy month with a ton of full weekends. Here are some of the pictures that we took a long the way! Last weekend we got invited from Levi and Lacy to stay in their cabin on Cedar Mountain. It was so much fun! The weather was absolutly perfect and Dallas had so much fun riding the fourwheelers all day.

We took a short trip to Kingman Arizona to vist the Whipples. We had a blast! The girls are so fun and have loads of energy. They loved jumping on the tramp with their uncle Dallas!

When we were going to my nieces wedding we drove past the Manti temple. I wish we could of done a session there, but we missed our chance. It is a beautiful temple and I hope one day to go back!

We had our one year anniversary and these are the only pictures I took. The cake was actually really good. We didn't have more then a couple of bites, but I was pretty impressed!

28 Weeks!

-I can't believe how fast time goes and I'm already 28 weeks!
-The St.George heat has kicked my butt
-Oh how I wish I could sleep as good as my husband!
-We are getting a crib from my aunt and uncle
-The nursery hasn't been started yet
-I drink A LOT of milk
-Swimming has become a great joy in my life
-He is so active at nights and so sleepy during the day
-I'm now starting to look very pregnant
-My last Doctors visit I had to take the Glucose test. The orange drink didn't taste bad I just didn't feel so good after
-We are so excited for Drake to get here!

1 Year!

One year! I can't even believe it's been one year since the day we got married! Where does time go? And where does it go so fast? I'm so very grateful for Dallas and everything he does. I couldn't ask for a better companion in life. He has made me a stronger and better person just by his example. I love him and and I'm so blessed that he is my husband. I love you Dallas!!

Posey lake

For the 24th we went to Posey Lake with the Griffin's. The weather was so great and the fishing was amazing! We had fun and would really love to go back next year!
